How do I register for this race?

In order to register, runners must be at least 18 years old by the race date. Registration will be open from July 20, 2023, through September 30, 2023, or until the limit of 175 registered participants per route is reached. The registration takes place online and is managed by Timer Mexico. At the end of the online registration process, runners will receive their official waiver. This waiver must be presented when picking up race packets at the pre-race meetings on the Saturday before the race.

What are the race rules, regulations and policies?

When registering for the race, runners will receive a waiver stating, among other items, that they have read and understood, and agree to comply with the Race Rules & Regulations. Information concerning cancellations, modifications, transfers, refunds, and course cut-off times are detailed in these rules. If you have any questions, please contact us directly. 

Who organizes this event?

A team of staff, athletes and volunteers associated with Rancho Cacachilas work together to ensure a safe and enjoyable event. Where can I find race schedule details?

Please read the schedule for the two days of the race weekend.

Will transportation be provided on the day of the race?

Yes. Roundtrip transportation will be available, per way from La Paz or from El Sargento, the service will have an additional cost and is selected and paid during the online registration or later if not done during registration, you will have until September 30 to purchase it online at this link.

What do I need to bring with me to the race?

Runners are required to carry a minimum of one liter of water (in a water bottle, backpack, hydration pack, etc.)Along the course there will be checkpoints where runners will have the opportunity to refill water containers, refresh themselves with our organic energy drink, and grab a piece of fresh fruit. We also recommend that you bring a whistle in case of emergency. Remember to wear your race number and electronic timing chip that will be in the race packet, which you are required to pick up up at the pre-race meetings.

At what time should I arrive at the starting line on the day of the race?

Please be at the start line in Rancho Gaspareño before 6:15 am on the day of the race. The race starts promptly at 6:30 am. See the complete schedule.

How do I get to the start line at Rancho Gaspareño?

If you booked race transportation, it will depart from La Paz at 5 am from Jardín Velasco and from Adventure Hub in El Sargento at 5:30 am. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the indicated times, as departure will be punctual. The entrance for private cars to Rancho Cacachilas will be open from 5 am. Are there points along the course where friends and family can cheer me on during the race?

Due to the remote setting of this course, spectators may only watch the start and the finish.

May I train on the Don Diablo and Rancho Cacachilas trails prior to the race?

While access to these private trails is restricted, we encourage you to contact Rancho Cacachilas to inquire about possible guided options for accessing trails. WARNING: Runners identified to have entered the property without permission will be banned from competing in the Don Diablo Trail Run.

Where are the race headquarters located?

Race headquarters will be at Toto Frito La Paz (Calle Belisario Dominguez, corner Manuel Torre Iglesias, Esterito, 23020 La Paz, B.C.S.) on Saturday, November 25 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm.

Are there any meetings prior to the race?

Yes. Runners should attend the meetings on the Saturday before the race day at Toto Frito La Paz. Registration packets must be picked up anytime between 3 pm and 8 pm. You will need to present your signed waiver and you will need to show an official photoID. See the complete schedule.

Can someone else pick up my registration packet for me?

No. Each runner is required to come to Toto Frito La Paz or in the town of El Sargento (as indicated at the time of registration) at Adventure Hub, in person on the Saturday before the race to present their official photo ID and their signed waiver.
